As a newcomer to the blogosphere, I’ve been blown away by the willingness of established bloggers to visit my site and to leave me a ‘like’. Along with the warm fuzzy feeling this gives me, the other rather awesome benefit is that it has introduced me to some interesting/informative/fun blogs that I might not have found on my own (or, at least, not found them as quickly!).
So, in the interests of sharing these wonderful discoveries with you, here’s just a few of the sites that I’ve found. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
- The Skeptic’s Kaddish – David gave me my first ‘like’ and I’m so glad he did. His site is one that you can dip in and out of, treating yourself to some of his poetry, or you can grab a cuppa and immerse yourself in his wisdom and generosity of spirit. Oh, and humour, such as the footnote on ‘The worse it seemed to get…’
- Andrea, Children’s Book Illustrator and Writer – If you need a little pep-me-up (or better yet, an illustrator), Andrea’s site is where you need to be. Her illustrations are not only colourful and fun, but they often pass a wry comment on what’s happening in the world. ‘I came in like wrecking ball’ is one of my favourites.
- My Idle Ramblings – As well as posting fiction and non-fiction, Suzanne writes about the craft of writing. Her recent post ‘What’s in a Word?’ is one of my favourites (I say one because I’d pretty much list down all her writing craft posts as favourites).
- Victoria Tribble takes me into another world – it’s crazy and it’s fun, and I love that we get to share in her musings on life. ‘Ok Fine … I’m a Writer.’ Is definitely worth a read.
